About Shanon
Shanon is a down-to-earth person who loves what she do
for a living. In her free time she enjoys being with her family, going on
walks, and reading. She loves to learn and continuously challenges herself to aquire new knowledge and life experiences. She has a deep
appreciation for the differences in others and has lived for a period of time
outside of the US. This gave her a unique perspective on problems that
many people face in the world today. She enjoys variety in her job and prefers to maintain a caseload with clients who include children, teens, adults,
couples, and families.
Training
Shanon is trained in
play therapy and Theraplay ® techniques, and is under clinical supervision for
certification by Dr. Rebecca Chow at MNU. She has additional training in EMDR level I, with completion of level II expected in February, 2012. Shanon is a gifted diagnostic clinician.
She specialized in mental illnesses, such as bipolar, schizophrenia, and
major depressive disorders. Shanon is
also trained in substance abuse treatment and has a high level of skills for
people with dual diagnoses.

Availability
She is in the office from 9am to 5 pm to see
clients.
She is currently accepting new clients on Mondays and Tuesdays, and
have very limited appointment times available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and
Fridays.
