Kyle was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and loves to travel. He is energized by outdoor recreation, especially snowboarding and disc golf. Family and friends are the most important things in his life and he believes in having a balance in everything he does. He is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa School of Social Work master's program. Kyle is sensitive to individual needs and enjoys tailoring treatment specifically to fit each client's concerns, and he is proactive in helping people get their unique needs met.
Training
Kyle has experience working in a psychiatric and medical institution for children with extreme behavioral, emotional and psychological issues including ADHD, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attachment Disorders and children in the Autism Spectrum. This experience also included group facilitation, skill building, crisis-management and de-escalation techniques. He also worked at a Community Mental health center with adults who have a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder and substance abuse. Kyle’s specialty area of practice is working with families who have children with severe behaviors. Kyle has additional training in EMDR level I, with level II completion expected in February, 2012.
