About Carie
Carie comes from a large family which has provided her the passion and desire to continue to work with other families particularly children and families. Her dreams and aspirations as a social worker are to make a difference in the lives of others.
Training
Carie has 15 years of experience working with children and families and 12 years as a Targeted Case Manager coordinating and monitoring services for the Home and Community Based Waivers. As a graduate student she held her Foundation Practicum with Grace C Mae Advocate Center as an Educational Advocate which has provided additional knowledge of IDEA, Special Education, rules and procedures can assist with interpreting educational services. She also held her Advanced Practicum with Grace C Mae Advocate Center as a counselor/therapist which has provided experience working with children in their homes and school to address behavioral, social, and emotional issues and additional experience working with children, families and adults. Carie has a vast knowledge of available community resources and services and can coordinate and facilitate access to those services when needed. She is a strong advocate for individuals and services in rural areas and is passionate about resources and services individuals are eligible for building relationships. Carie has also participated in numerous trainings on individuals with disabilities which enable her to work effectively and professionally.

License and Certification
Caries will sit for her LMSW in the Spring of 2011
